Handbell Hub is the organisation responsible for the information described here. This page covers this website only. Handbell Hub itself has not launched, so there are no accounts and no member data yet.

What this site collects

Two forms on this site collect anything, and both are optional:

• The waitlist form asks for your email address, and records that the request came from this landing page.
• The question form collects whatever you choose to write in it, including any contact details you put there yourself.

Nothing else on this site collects anything. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded fonts or scripts from other companies, and no advertising. The page runs no JavaScript at all, and an automated test on every deploy fails the build if it ever makes a request to a third-party server.

Why, and for how long

Your email address is used for one thing: to tell you once, when Handbell Hub launches, that your choir can sign up. It is not used for a newsletter, it is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone for their own purposes. We keep it until that announcement has been sent and then delete it, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. Questions you send are kept only as long as it takes to answer them.

The legal basis for holding your address is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who else handles it

Both forms are hosted by Tally, which processes and stores the submissions on our behalf. Tally is the only third party involved, and it handles this data under its own privacy policy in addition to ours.

One detail worth knowing: the waitlist form hands your address to Tally in the web address rather than in a hidden request body, so that Tally's page arrives with the field already filled in. That means your address is briefly visible in the address bar and is saved in your own browser history. Clearing that history entry removes it from your device; it does not remove it from the waitlist, which is what the request below is for.

Asking for a copy, or deletion

Use the question form to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Say which address you used and we will act on it. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Changes

If this page changes before launch, the date at the top changes with it. If a change ever affects what we do with an address already on the waitlist, that will be in the launch email rather than only here.
